Detailed itinerary of the Safari

Day 1: City Tour in Kigali

You arrive at Kigali International airport where you meet our driver guide to transfer you on a city tour around Kigali City where you visit the Genocide Memorials, National Museums to learn about the Genocide in which many Rwandans lost their dear lives. Lunch is en-route in Kigali then after the city tour, you shall transfer to check-in Hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mille Collines Hotel.

Day 2: Get to Volcanoes National Park (Gorilla Trekking)

Breakfast in the morning then proceed to Volcanoes National Park located in Ruhengeri District Musanze Rwanda for a journey that takes you a period of 2 to 3 hours. Follow the rolling hills of Rwanda and deviating Canopies through fog and misty slopes till you reach Kinigi park headquarters.

On reaching the Park headquarters, you are welcomed by a park ranger guide for briefing then as you take a cup of hot coffee , tea, cappuccino you are informed about the Mountain Gorillas, Volcanoes National Park, Golden Monkeys and the vast green forest vegetation.

After the briefing session, you are located into groups of 8 with lead park ranger guides who lead you to the various starting points at the boundaries of the forest.

On reaching these starting points, you shall enter the forest to trek the Gorillas for a period of 3 to 5 hours following varying trails in the thick bamboo forest. Depending on the reported location of these majestic giants then after a while, you shall meet the Gorillas and in an hour you shall stay in their presence taking many photos to keep. After trekking the Gorillas, you shall return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 3: Fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport then to Seronera Airstrip

Morning breakfast on the 3rd Day of the 13 Days Rwanda Gorillas Serengeti Zanzibar Tour, then embark on transfer to Kigali International airport to Board a Flight to Tanzania at Kilimanjaro International airport (JRO). Reaching here, proceed to catch a domestic flight to Seronera Airport where you leave from to check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Getting to lodge you enjoy an en-route Game Drive watching many wildlife animals. Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park (Serenora Region)

Early morning breakfast then proceed on a full Day Game Drive with packed lunch. On your Game Drive, you shall watch many wildlife animals around the Seronera region as they wander around their natural habitat.

As you traverse the tracks, the wildlife animals you watch include; eland, zebra, topi, kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Leopard, Wildebeest, Giraffe etc.

You shall break off for lunch (Packed Lunch) then later continue on another session of the Game Drive till late evening. After the Game Drive in the evening, you shall return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive & Cultural Encounter in Serengeti

On the 5th Day of the 13 Days Rwanda Gorillas Serengeti Zanzibar & Victoria Falls, you have morning breakfast then transfer to the park for another Game Drive. Watch many wildlife animals wander around their habitat while seated in your 4×4 wheel drive with cameras that have no flash.

Take many photos of wildlife animals like eland, zebra, topi, kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Leopard, Wildebeest, Giraffe etc. After the Game Drive, continue to visit and watch the local Masai people who showcase their local traditions and customs and livelihood in the Manyatta Huts. Day 6: Fly from Seronera (Serengeti) to Zanzibar

Breakfast in the morning then transfer to the Seronera Airport where you board a flight to Zanzibar at the Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for a period of 1 hour and 56 minutes. Reaching Zanzibar, take a brief city tour around Zanzibar City & Stone Town then later continue to check-n lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Zanzibar Beach Resort.

Day 7: Horse Riding & Swimming in Zanzibar

Morning breakfast then transfer to the shores of the Indian Ocean to embark on remarkable Horse Riding and swimming expeditions in the Ocean.

This exceptional adventure is provided by the Zanzibar Horse Club known to offer various horse rides. Swimming with horses is done at high tide starting at US $60 for 30 minutes.

Day 8: Snorkeling or diving in the Indian Ocean

Snorkeling or diving in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean is exceptional to do in Zanzibar. Snorkeling/ Diving gives you the opportunity to explore the coral reefs, marine life and the underwater. This is done at Mnemba Island, Chumbe Island Coral Park and Prison Island where you view snappers, surgeonfish, clownfish, moray eels, angelfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, octopus, lobsters, eels, rays, turtles, lionfish. Day 9: Fly from Zanzibar to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport Zimbabwe

Breakfast then transfer to the Abeid Amani Karume International Airport where you board a flight to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare Zimbabwe. Reaching here, you are welcomed by company representative on meet and greet then later transfer on a brief city Tour around Harare then to check-in your hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Day 10: City Tour in Harare City (Zimbabwe)

Morning Breakfast on the 13 Days Rwanda Gorillas Serengeti Zanzibar & Victoria Falls, then transfer to enjoy a City Tour around Harare City. Visit many attractions and sites so as to get a touch of Zimbabwe. These include; Harare Kopje, Mbare Musika, Doone Estate, National Gallery, Gallery Delta, Queen Victoria Museum, Domboshava Rock, Ngoma kurira etc.

Day 11: Transfer to Victoria Falls National Park

Early breakfast then transfer to the beautiful Victoria Falls National Park located in the North West of Zimbabwe. The journey from Harare to the Park takes you a period of 10 hours. You shall be required to wake up very early in the morning so that you get to the park earlier with minimal fatigue. Enjoy lunch, views of the green terrain, birds en-route. Day 12: Explore the Victoria Falls ( Rain forest walk, Bungee jumping, Aerial experiences)

Breakfast in the morning then proceed to experience the thrill of seeing the awesome Victoria Falls up close listening to the pounding force of one of the world’s most vigorous waterfalls that drop into the Zambezi River Gorge. While at the falls, you can engage in these varying adventures i.e At the Falls, you can go on a guided Rain forest walk and Bungee jumping.

Over the Falls, embark on Aerial experiences as you view the falls while flying and micro lighting over the Victoria Falls. Above the Falls, you can enjoy cruising at River Zambezi and canoeing upstream from the Victoria Falls.

Below the Falls, you can embark on Adrenalin and high wire activities in the gorges as you view the falls plunge into the gorges. Around the Falls, you can enjoy activities and watch attractions within the Zambian and Zimbabwean section.

Day 13: Departure flight from Victoria Falls to Harare then home

Morning breakfast then with all your luggage, embark o departure to using car to Harare then flight home or you can catch a domestic flight from Victoria Falls National Park to Harare at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport Zimbabwe where you catch your flight back home.
