Detailed Itinerary of the Tour

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe Airport

Arrive at the Entebbe International Airport where you meet our driver guide who welcomes you and takes you through a meet and greet session about as well as briefing about the 6 Days Kidepo Wildlife and Cultural Tour. Day 2: Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park

Early morning breakfast on the 2nd Day of the 6 Days Kidepo Wildlife and Cultural Tour in Uganda then transfer to the vast Savannah Kidepo Valley National Park located North East of Uganda. On your way, have views of the green terrain, bird species as well as lunch. Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Kidepo

The 3rd Day of the 6 Days Kidepo Wildlife and Cultural Safari begins with delicious breakfast in the morning then transfer with packed lunch for an early morning to mid day Game Drive in the park. Transfer along the various tracks in the park watching various wildlife animals wander around their natural vegetation habitat and these include; elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras and various antelope species.

Take Take many photos then after at mid day break off for lunch then after lunch, continue on another session of Game Drive to the Narus Valley and Kidepo Rivers, rocky outcrops and acacia woodlands till late evening.

Day 4: Cultural Encounter with the Karamojong

On this Day you enjoy unique cultural adventures in Uganda with the Karamojong people as they take you through their unique traditions and customs after delicious breakfast. After having breakfast, embark on journey to these Karamojong communities located along the outskirts of Kidepo Valley National Park.

On arriving at the Karamojong village, you are warmly welcomed by the local community members who openly share their customs, traditions and way of life with you. They perform you various songs, dances and ceremonial rituals as they dance to the rhythmic beat of the drums, the melodic chants of the singers, and the vibrant colors of the dancers’ attire as they celebrate your arrival.

Go on to visit the Karamojong Village, homesteads known as the Manyattas made out of wood, mud, and grass thatch.

They will also introduce you methods of grazing cattle, goats and sheep as livestock plays a big role in the Karamojong culture. After the cultural adventure, you shall return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Apoka Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Guided Hiking and Nature Walk (Lomej Mountains)

On the 5th Day of the 6 Days Kidepo Wildlife and Cultural Tour you shall have breakfast then with your ranger guides and driver, continue to the have a nature walk through beautiful vegetation terrain of the Lomej Mountains.

Before proceeding on trek/ hike, make sure to have comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, plenty of water and camera then proceed on hiking tour in groups with lead ranger guides following through ps and verdant valleys. On your way, watch various wildlife animals like rock hyrax, elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras.

On traversing the Lomej Mountains, your guide tells you stories of the area’s cultural and historical significance, from ancient legends passed down through generations to the colonial-era expeditions that once traversed these rugged peaks. You shall also explore the ancient rock paintings left behind by the early inhabitants to this region. Enjoy views of the designs and vivid colors adorning the rock faces, depicting scenes of hunting, dancing, and ritual ceremonies. After the adventure, you shall proceed back to the base then later to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 6: Depart to Kampala

On the Last Day of the Safari, have breakfast then with all your luggage embark on departure to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board a flight back home.
