Detailed Itinerary of the Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Kampala City Tour
Arrival at the Entebbe International Airport where you meet the driver guide to transfer you to Kampala for an exciting city tour visiting various attractions, places around the city. These include the Bahai Temple, Uganda Martyr’s Shrine Namugongo, Kasubi Tombs, King’s Palace Bulange etc where you learn about these unique attractions. Day 2: get to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
On the 2nd Day of the 5 Days Uganda Gorillas and Batwa Cultural Tour have breakfast then continue on journey to the stunning Mgahinga Gorilla National Park located in the South Western Part of Uganda. The journey takes you to the Western Part of Uganda for 7 to 8 hours via Mbarara where you break off for lunch. You reach the Park in the evening and go to check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Ikoro Lodge.
Day 3: Gorilla Trek in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
The 3rd Day of the 5 Days Uganda Gorillas and Batwa Cultural Tour starts with delicious breakfast in the morning then proceed to to trek the Mountain Gorillas in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Proceed to the Park headquarters where you are welcomed and taken through short briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park as well as other activities to do in the park.
He shall later distribute you in groups of 8 with lead park ranger guides who transfer you into the green forest vegetation to trek the Gorillas for a period of 3 to 5 hours depending on the current location of the Gorillas.
After a while following the trails, you shall meet the Gorillas and stay in their presence for a period of 1 hour taking many photos to keep.
After Gorilla trekking, proceed back to the headquarters for your Gorilla Trekking Certificate to take back with you then later continue to your 4×4 vehicle to transfer you back to the lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Ikoro Lodge.
Day 4: Batwa Cultural Encounter
Morning breakfast on the 5 Days Uganda Gorillas and Batwa Cultural Safari then continue on a guided community nature walk to the neighboring local communities of the indigenous Batwa People. These guided nature walks take a period of 2 to 3 hours enjoying scenic views of the green terrain then after you reach the Batwa communities, engage in various customs and traditions.
Engage in Music, Dance and Drama as well as local activities like cooking, then get to know the various methods they used to survive in the green forest vegetation. After the guided community nature walk, you shall transfer to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Ikoro Lodge.
Day 5: Depart to Kampala and in Entebbe
Morning breakfast on the last Day of the 5 Days Uganda Gorillas and Batwa Cultural Tour then with luggage depart to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board flight back home.
