Detailed Itinerary of the Safari

Day 1: Arrive in Kigali and City Tour

Arrive at the Kigali International airport where you meet our driver guide to transfer you on City Tour around Kigali as you visit the genocide memorials, National Museums and Market to get souvenir. As you visit the Genocide Memorials, learn about the tragic Genocide in which many Rwandans lost their dear lives. After visiting the Genocide Memorials, National Museums and National Market and having lunch then proceed to hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mille Collines Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Rushaga Sector Bwindi

Early breakfast then with all your luggage transfer to traverse the Rwanda Uganda boundary through the Cyanika border in Kisoro. This journey takes you 2 to 3 hours and when you get here, clear with the required border documentation then after cross into Uganda to Bwindi Forest National Park (Rushaga Sector). On reaching the Park, proceed to check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Rushaga Gorilla Camp.

Day 3: Gorilla Trek in Rushaga Bwindi Forest

As the sun begins to cast its golden rays over the lush landscapes of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, the 3rd Day of the 8 Days Bwindi Double Gorilla Trek & Queen Elizabeth Safari enables you to trek the rare species of Mountain Gorillas in their natural forest vegetation habitat.

The Rushaga Sector of Bwindi Forest has 5 to 7 Gorilla Trekking Groups that have been habituated to be trekked by all travelers from all over the world. So after breakfast, you proceed to the park headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas by a professional knowledgeable park ranger guide. The Guide informs you about Bwindi Forest National Park and all the other primates and adventure you can take on in the forest.

After the briefing, you shall be located into groups of 8 with a lead park ranger guide who transfers you to the starting point where you leave from to enter the thick forest of Bwindi to trek the Mountain Gorillas. You proceed on trek into the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via thick untouched trails viewing exotic wildflowers listening to sounds of birds as well as the jungle.

After a while for a period of 3 to 5 hours, you shall meet the Mountain Gorilla family and stay in their presence taking many photos watching the Gorillas (Adult females) nurturing their infants/ juveniles an adventure so exceptional and memorable to keep. In an hour around the Gorillas take many pictures of the playful juveniles, adult mothers, silverback, then after return to the park headquarters for your Gorilla Trekking certificate then to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Day 4: Transfer to Buhoma Bwindi Forest

Delicious early morning breakfast then transfer to the Buhoma Sector in Bwindi Forest National Park for another Gorilla Trekking adventure. You shall have beautiful en-route views of the green terrain, bird species as well as lunch. After a while, you get to Buhoma and proceed to check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. You can have an optional guided community and nature walk around the Batwa communities around Bwindi. You shall get to meet the Batwa as well as buy some Gorilla souvenirs to take back hoe with you. Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Buhoma Bwindi

Early morning breakfast on the 5th Day of the 8 Days Bwindi Double Gorilla Trek & Queen Elizabeth Safari then proceed to the park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. You shall meet a skilled park ranger who informs you about the vast Bwindi Forest National Park, Mountain Gorilla Trekking Groups and other wildlife animals as well as the local Batwa people.

After briefing, you are distributed into groups of 8 with lead park ranger guides who transfer you to trek your specific Gorilla Trekking group. He transfers you to the starting point where you leave from to enter the thick forest to trek the Mountain Gorillas and depending on their current location in the forest, you shall search and trek them for 3 to 5 hours along rugged trails. After a while, you shall meet them and stay in their presence for one hour. At a distance of 7 meters with a camera that has no flash, take many photos to keep for memories.

After trekking the Mountain Gorillas, return to lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Haven Lodge Buhoma.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast in the morning then continue on journey to the stunning Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector. The journey takes you a period of 5 to 6 hours via Ishaha sector where you might view the tree climbing lions seated in the fig tree branches. The journey offers you en-route views of the green terrain vegetation, birds, Rwenzori Mountains at a distance. After a while, you reach Queen Elizabeth National Park and break off for lunch then after, continue on Game Drive along the various tracks watching wildlife like elephant, buffalo, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, topi, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog etc. Afterwards you shall proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Day 7: Game Drive and Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel

The 7th Day of the 8 Days Bwindi Double Gorilla Trek & Queen Elizabeth Safari gives you another game drive in the park which starts very early in the morning at 6:30am so as to watch the early morning riser animals and goes until mid day watching wildlife along the various tracks in the park like elephant, buffalo, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, topi, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, Nile crocodile, leopard, spotted hyena, chimpanzee and lion.

After the Game Drive, break off for lunch then after continue to the Kazinga Channel for a Boat Cruise at 2:30 pm which offers views of schools of hippo and crocodiles beneath the waters as well as other wildlife animals along the shores breaking thirst. After the Boat Cruise in the evening, you shall transfer back to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bush Lodge.

Day 8: Depart to Kigali Airport

Breakfast in the morning then with luggage embark on departure to Kampala or the Entebbe International airport to board flight back home.
