Detailed Itinerary of the Safari

Day 1: Arrive in Entebbe then to Hotel

Arrive at the Entebbe International Airport where you meet our Driver who welcomes you and takes you through a meet and greet session and later inform you about the 8 Days Uganda Gorilla Trek Chimps & Wildlife Safari. Afterwards, he drives you around the Entebbe at Botanical Gardens, Mabamba Wetland Swamp where you watch the shoebill stork and takes many photos. After the adventure, you continue to check-in your hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Protea Hotel Entebbe.

Day 2: Flight to Bwindi Forest National Park via (Kihihi Airstrip)

Morning breakfast then transfer to the Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip to board a domestic flight with Aero Link Uganda to the kihihi Airstrip near Queen Elizabeth National Park. You shall fly to the Airstrip and when you get here, meet our driver to transfer you to the beautiful Bwindi Forest National Park. Lunch is en-route. You reach the Park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trek in Bwindi Forest National Park

On the 3rd Day of the 8 Days Uganda Gorilla Trek Chimps & Wildlife Safari have breakfast then with valid Gorilla Trekking Permits after morning breakfast then transfer to the park headquarters for a short briefing session conducted by experienced park rangers. During briefing, learn about the essential guidelines, safety precautions, the dos and don’ts during the trek and insights about Gorilla behavior. You shall be allocated into groups of 8 with lead park ranger guides who transfer you to the starting points.

You shall then leave to enter the green forest to trek the Gorillas for a period of 3 to5 hours depending on the reported location of the Gorillas. You shall follow varying trails in the park through dense, mist covered forest vegetation of Bwindi then after you shall meet the rare species of Mountain Gorillas.

You shall keep a distance of 7 meters and in a period of 1 hour stay in their presence taking photos with a camera that has no flash.

After trekking the Gorillas, you shall return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning breakfast then embark on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and en-route watch the green vegetation terrain, bird species as well as lunch. Proceed on your journey for a period of 6 to 7 hours and later you reach the park to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel

Breakfast in the morning on the 5th Day of the 8 Days Uganda Gorillas, Chimps & Wildlife Tour then transfer to the park for a Game Drive along the various trails where you watch many wildlife animals wander around their natural vegetation habitat.

The wildlife animals watched here include; lions, elephants, buffaloes, small antelope, Uganda kobs, duiker, bush duiker, etc. At mid day, break off for lunch then later continue to the Kazinga Channel where you leave for a Boat Cruise.

The Boat Cruise takes you a period of 3 hours starting at 2:30 pm  watching crocodiles, hippos beneath the waters, bird species and wildlife animals at the shores. Take many photos to keep with you then after proceed back to the shores where you leave from back to lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Breakfast in the morning then transfer to the beautiful Kibale Forest National Park located off Queen Elizabeth National Park requiring you to travel for a period of 3 to 4 hours watching the green terrain vegetation, bird species, as well as have lunch. After a while, you shall reach the park via the headquarters for registration then get to check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Primates’ Lodge Kibale.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trek in Kibale Forest National Park

On this 7th Day of the 8 Days Gorilla, Chimpanzee Trekking & Wildlife Tour, you continue for Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale Forest National Park.

Have breakfast in the morning at 6:30 am then transfer to the park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the chimpanzees. The Park ranger guide welcomes then informs you about Kibale Forest National Park, Chimpanzee Tracking, precautions to follow while in the presence of the Chimpanzees then later allocate you into groups of 8 with lead ranger guides.

You shall transfer to the starting points where you leave from to enter the forest and track the chimpanzees for a period of 2 to4 hours and after a while, you shall meet the Chimpanzees and stay in their presence for an hour taking many photos to keep. After tracking the chimpanzees, you return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Primates’ lodge Kibale.

Day 8: Depart to Entebbe Airport

Early morning breakfast then depart to the Entebbe International Airport to board a flight back home.
